Comparing Artis to Batu Secret Zoo

A couple of weeks ago, I went to East Java, and visited a few cities and places. I went to Surabaya, Mount Bromo, and Batu. But today, I'm going to compare a popular zoo in Batu, which is the Batu Secret Zoo to the oldest zoo in the Netherlands, Amsterdam Artis.
Batu is a city nearby Malang, with lots of popular theme parks and recreational facilities. Batu Secret Zoo is one of the recreational site and modern zoo in Batu. The architecture of the hotel and entrance of the zoo were pretty cool. The hotel was designed like a tree, that's why it's called Pohon Inn. It's one of the most famous zoos in Indonesia.A couple of months ago i went to a zoo with my school in Amsterdam, Natura Artis Magistra. Artis is the oldest zoo in the Netherlands and one of the oldest in mainland Europe. The aquarium was pretty cool, also there were lots of exotic animals in the reptile house.
Now i'm going to compare both of the zoos. From the animals, architectures, and other facilities.
Animals
The animals in Batu were mostly tropical animals or the ones who lived in a warm habitat. Such as camels, zebras, and monkeys. There were less animals who came from northern area, and the animals there were mostly mamals. So i'm sure that there are way more species in Artis, it has a reptile house, instectarium, and an aquarium. The animals came from different parts of the world too, like big cats, exotic fishes, and a huge range of snakes. Besides Artis exist 172 years older than Batu Secret, so it has more animal collections.

Batu Secret Zoo is still new, opened in 2010. It has a modern architecture on it's buildings. There were lots of statues of movie characters, like the Madagascar. Their entrance looks great. Although the columns on the museum does not look very nice. But the hotel looks amazing, it looks like a gigantic tree.

Batu Secret Zoo has one thing uncommon, that is it has a museum.. The museum was quite big as you can see, . Batu Secret also has a hotel too for visitors, called Pohon inn, designed like a tree. There are also restaurants and booths there, but i don't recommend eating there, it's not that good.

Overall, i think both zoos are great and worth to go to on the weekends or vacations. Thanks for reading!
