Kaleidoscope of Mariana ♡

Hey readers,

I'm currently having my spring break from school, which means more time for baking and blogging! As you see, most of my food-related posts are in fact, desserts and sweets. I have always loved meringue cookies. Not only because how pretty their cloud-shaped form is, but they're very light and crispy - leaving you wanting more and more!

Now, I might have heard this Australian dessert more than a few times, yet I never had the chance to taste one. So when I saw this premade mini pavlovas at Marks and Spencer, it was definitely going into my basket without thinking twice. Even though I was planning to make tartlets before. Oh well. Another excuse to bake anyways.

These mini pavlova nests are ready to be filled with your favorite cream and fresh fruits. I had mine with berry whip cream and fresh blueberries.

Hey, readers!

Hi readers,

Do you have any old bread sitting around in your pantry for days?
Well I do, and honestly, no one likes them - they're dry, hard, and loses it's taste after some time.

I turned my love for desserts and the leftover bread into a delicious pan of bread pudding.
Just like the one my mother used to make me when I was little. The result was exactly like I remembered it to be - sweet, soft, and just melts in your mouth. Best served with a warm cup of tea. It's already tasty on its own, yet adding fresh/dried fruits and spices is optional. I had mine with half a cup of shredded coconuts and raisins plus a sprinkle of cinnamon. Heavenly.

Hey readers,

There are two things I'm obsessed with, Taylor Swift and food. I admit that I'm a hard-core Swiftie and remember every single lyric of her five albums. I worship her, but you're not here to read me rambling about my love for Taylor. You're here for me rambling about how much I love food instead.

No kidding, I love food on a spiritual level. Cinnamon Rolls is one of my favorite food, so I do take them very seriously. They need to be in the perfect level of fluffiness, not too sweet, and a strong taste of cinnamon. However, there's only one Cinnabon store in Amsterdam and it's rather far from my house.

So to satisfy my cravings for cinnamon rolls, without having to go to the other part of the city, I tried making some from scratch. Let's just say it's not as easy and more of a hassle than I thought it would be. After trying out couple recipes, I started to think it'd be more time saving to hop on a bus and spend 17 euros on a fresh batch of cinnamon rolls.

That's until I came across a brilliant idea while baking myself some butter croissants.
Boom. 30-minutes mini cinnamon rolls.
I went for it and damn I wish it came across my mind sooner.
